Ernest Abrogar

Ernest Abrogar is a Research Specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. In this capacity, he prepares briefing materials and performs analyses for ODOC and the State of Oklahoma. His portfolio further includes information technology company recruitment and university-industry collaboration.

He previously worked as the inaugural director of research statistics for the Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Oklahoma. 

Abrogar is a founding board member of the Greater Oklahoma City Asian Chamber of Commerce. From 2014 to 2016, he served as President of the Filipino and American Association of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.

Abrogar earned a master’s degree in urban planning and economic development from Cleveland State University in Ohio and a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Oklahoma. He is earning credits toward becoming a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.
