Valorie J Filippo

Valorie J Filippo was born in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted as an infant by Olven V and Nauvelle H Silvers, of Big Lake, Texas through the Holt Foundation (Holt International).

Her mother worked with then Senator Lyndon B Johnson (Tx) in bringing foreign born adoptees to the United States and Valorie was truly a labor of love for her parents.

Valorie moved from Texas to Midwest City, Oklahoma when she was 10 years old and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1976.

She continued her education at Rose State College, formerly Oscar Rose Junior College and served as Secretary on the Student Senate and was part of a number of different goups and associations while attending and post graduation held an administrative position to the Counselor team. She continued her education at UCO then Central State University.

Later in her life, she was worked at the Midwest City Sun newspaper and their sister Eastern Oklahoma County papers as a Classifieds and Advertising Executive, was a member of the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce and served as Ambassador Chairperson, Leadership Midwest City, Del City Chamber of Commerce, Choctaw Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Oklahoma County Chamber of Commerce and assisted in starting the Harrah Chamber of Commerce.

She also was a founding member of EOC Rotary and a member of Harrah Kiwanis.

Valorie is an Advisory member of the Asian District Cultural Association and has worked on the Asian Night Market Festival.

She currently serves as 4th District Congressional Committeewoman for Congressman Tom Cole, sits on the Oklahoma County GOP Executive Committee, Campaign Activities Committee Chairperson for Republican Women of Central Oklahoma and is the Incoming President for 2023. She is also an associate member of the Edmond Republican Women's Club, Frederick Douglass Republican Women's Club, Heartland Republican Women's Club and the Oklahoma City Republican Women's Club. She has also worked on numerous campaigns for over 40 years.

Valorie has been a part of the Real Estate Industry for over 2 decades and is with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Paramount in Edmond, a member of Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors and will serve on the Government Affairs Policy Committee for 2023 , member of Edmond Board of Realtors and is working with other Asian Realtors in the area in forming a chapter of Areaa (Asian Real Estate Association of American) in Oklahoma.

In her spare time, Valorie enjoys her 2 amazing daughters, Rebekah and Elizabeth and her 5 grandchildren, Aaron, Amber, Samuel, Lucien and baby Merrick.
